Hemodynamics March 9th
Posted over 8 years ago by Genevieve Lauria
Hello all,
We are just under 2 weeks away from our next education session. Mar 9 at DHMC from 4-5p Matt Roginski, MD will give a killer hemodynamic's lecture that will go over pulse pressure variation, the NICOM, passive leg raise, and briefly discuss how all this can be applied to the 2017 surviving sepsis guidelines. Matt is an incredible speaker so don't miss your chance to hear him speak and ask those burning hemodynamics questions.
Afterwards we will head to the Skinny Pancake in Hanover for drinks, networking, and snacks.
Future education are as follows. We are looking for ideas for this coming fall. Please let us know if you have any topics you would like to hear more about or speakers you would like. Also, if you have a topic you are passionate about and would like to present on (great for annual performance, CCRN credit, etc.) let us know. We would love to have our members teach each other!
Apr 11 DHMC 4-5p Dr Reto (DHMC pedi trauma surgeon) will give a lecture on pediatric trauma and what the treatment course would look like
(This one would be great for those in EMS to ICU)
May 11 DHMC 4-5p Doc Rhynhart will go over adult nero trauma
(This one would be great for those in EMS to ICU)
Thank you to those who have come forward and are willing to lead this amazing group for the next year. If you are still interested and haven't let one of us know please do so soon. Just remember per the bi-laws those who run for office need to be a member and have participated in half of the education events over the past 2 years. Also, if you would like to vote you need to be a member. We will look back to our sign in sheet to note eligibility for voting. Emails will be sent with a survey monkey prior to the meeting in May with the perspective leaders.
As always please share with your fellow co-workers, friends, neighbors, and any one you meet that may want to learn more about the care we provide our patients from the field to the ICU.
Look forward to seeing everyone on March 9th!
